THE JESSE
The Jesse is a new hotel encased in the vintage bones of an old one. While the original building was constructed at the turn of the last century, it now houses a modern hotel with six bespoke rooms, a cocktail lounge downstairs and in the back, a small taqueria across a little courtyard. Nestled in downtown Reno, Nevada, it’s an anchor property in a classic area rapidly being revitalized.
My favorite projects always involve multiple visual pieces that fit together to tell the larger story. In the Jesse's case, interiors mixed with food and cocktails and a few motion clips thrown in for good measure. I used a variety of lighting, from all strobe to blended continuous to all natural light for other shots, always with the goal of a cohesive look across the final deliverables.
